St James's Street
/About
The conversion of a terraced collection of Grade II Listed buildings into x29 1 & 2 bed apartments, restoration of ground/basement retail units and Cat A+ fit out of the former stable/tramshed at ground floor into a modern open-plan office for a software company.
The scheme is a major catalyst to the urban regeneration zone of the Cathedral Quarter within Derby City Centre and its Conservation Area.
As lead designer this involved the detailed design and coordination of many elements such as a number of heritage shop fronts for parts of the development and implementing a conservation strategy that carried out extensive photographic surveys and locked in architectural detail and positive restorations very early on in the design process.
