The Woodpecker
/About
The new extension at The Woodpecker Public House presented a design challenge with a neighbouring residential property directly adjacnet the sote for the extension. The scheme required a sensitive approach to balance the impact potential noise disturbance on the neighbours. The solution involved carefully angling the windows to the extension to mitigate potential noise nuisance while preserving the privacy and comfort of nearby residents. This orientation not only minimised disruption but also created an inviting connection to the existing pub, enhancing the overall customer experience. Internally, the new extension features a brick clad entrance with glazed sliding doors, and the vaulted ceiling significantly enhances the sense of space and volume.
